JW Speech & Language is more than a speech therapy practice. We are a partner in your child’s journey rooted in growth, trust, and collaboration, ensuring every child feels supported and every family feels empowered.

We are deeply committed to not only supporting children in therapy but also empowering parents with the tools and strategies they need to nurture communication growth beyond our sessions.

Jolyn Welsh, M.S. CCC-SLP
Owner + Sole Provider

Hi there! I’m Jolyn—though most of my clients and their families know me as Miss Jo. I am the owner and sole provider at JW Speech and Language. Since 2015, I have been providing speech and language therapy to children, with a special focus on early intervention (birth to 5). I earned my undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from West Virginia University and my Master of Science degree from Clarion University.

I began my career in Pittsburgh, PA, where I was fortunate to work alongside seasoned clinicians on multidisciplinary teams. Their guidance helped shape my love for the field while fostering my growth, knowledge, and confidence as a speech-language pathologist. In 2020, my family and I relocated to Holly Springs, NC, in search of community and sunnier days. Holly Springs has truly welcomed us, and we are proud to call it home.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me digging in my garden, exploring town with my kids on our beloved electric bike, or hunting for treasures at local thrift shops. I cherish the little joys in life, and I bring that same spirit of celebration to every communication milestone achieved with the children and families I serve.

I am honored to be part of so many families’ journeys and would love to support yours!
